  • The 132nd South of Ireland Senior Open Tennis Championships at Limerick Lawn Tennis Club in conjunction with Ulster Bank will take place from Saturday June the 20th - Saturday the 27th.

    The annual festival of tennis at Limerick Lawn Tennis Club, generously sponsored by Ulster Bank,  kicks offonSaturday June 20th for the 132nd time with 27 events from Premier Singles right through all the gradesoffering a great mix of highly competitive tennis and après tennis activities for all competitors.

    Limerick Lawn looks forward to welcoming players from across the country to enjoy the great atmosphere and facilities at the Club. Entry fees for all graded events are €10 per player and €20 for the Men’s and Ladies Premier Singles with €400 and the Perpetual Trophy going to the South of Ireland Champions. Entry forms can be downloaded below or at www.lltc.ie where full tournament details, updates and results will be carried. The entry closing date is Sunday June 14th.

  • The 2009 Munster Junior Clay Court Open Championships in conjunction with Martin O' Dwyer Ltd.   • Brookfield Junior Open 2009 will take place in Brookfield Tennis Club , Palmerstown Park, Rathmines, Dublin 6.

                        There are a couple of points that we would like entrants in the Under 10 Singles to note:

  • Entries from these born in 1999, i.e. Under 10 this year, will generally be accepted. However, these entrants born in 2000 or later, i.e. Under 9 this year and younge, will only be accepted if they have a current Tennis Ireland Passport. Entrants should contact Tennis Ireland about their Passport and not the Tournament.
  • The Under 10 Singles will be played on some weekdays of the Tournament this year and not on the weekend as in previous years.

  • The 128 Bus Route terminates outside the Club, the 14A stops 50 metres away and the Luas Green Line is a 300 metre walk to either Cowper of Milltown stops.
  • Catering and drinks are available in the Club during the tournament. Players are asked to bring their own drinks containers for on-court use.
  • Entries close at 6:00pm on Tuesday 24th March and the draw takes place on Thursday 26th March. We ask all competitors to provide a mobile phone number and/or a Parent's e-mail address so that they can be notified by text/email of their first match. The draws will be available on our website, www.brookfieldtennis.com from Monday 30th March.
  • no phone entries will be accepted. A message can be left for the Committee on 01 497 4168 if you really need some further information. Entry forms are available from this website (below), on the Brookfield website and in selected Clubs

  • The 2009 Munster Open Veteran's Tournament sponsored by Express Kitchens and Floors will take place in Sunday's Well Boating and tennis Club from 23rd - 26th April. 
  • Closing date for entries is Friday 17th April, and all entries should be returned to Secretary/Manager, Sunday's Well Boating & Tennis Club, Mardyke, Cork.
